Day 1: Arrival in Maun
Arrive at Maun Airport, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, and meet your guide for a transfer to your lodge. Settle in and enjoy the afternoon at leisure, perhaps relaxing by the pool or exploring the lodge grounds along the Thamalakane River. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in Maun.

Optional activity: river cruise, scenic flight over the Okavango
Delta.

Day 2: Okavango Delta Mokoro Excursion
After breakfast, travel to the edge of the Okavango Delta for a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) excursion. Glide silently through reed-lined channels and lily-covered lagoons while your poler shares knowledge of the delta’s birds, plants and wildlife. Keep an eye out for hippo, elephant and a rich variety of birdlife. Return to the lodge in the afternoon for rest before dinner and overnight in Maun.

Day 3: Maun to Nata
Enjoy breakfast, then depart Maun for the scenic drive east to Nata, approximately 4 hours along the main road. The landscape shifts from delta wetlands to open scrub and vast flat terrain. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch (own expense) and an afternoon of relaxation. Later, head out for a sunset experience on the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, one of the largest salt flats in the world. Walk across the shimmering white expanse and watch the sky turn brilliant shades of orange and pink. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in Nata.

Day 4: Nata to Kasane
After breakfast, continue north to Kasane, approximately 3.5 hours’ drive, toward Botswana’s Chobe region. Keep watch for elephant along the roadside as you near Chobe National Park. Check in to your lodge and enjoy the afternoon at leisure. In the late afternoon, board a boat for a sunset cruise on the Chobe River. Cruise past elephant herds, hippo, crocodile and abundant birdlife as the setting sun paints the river gold. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in Kasane.

Day 5: Kasane at Leisure
Enjoy a relaxed day in Kasane. After breakfast, you may wish to add an optional activity such as a Chobe National Park game drive, both easily arranged locally. Alternatively, unwind at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in Kasane.

Day 6: Kasane to Victoria Falls
After breakfast, transfer from Kasane to Victoria Falls, approximately 1 hour 15 minutes including the Kazungula border crossing into Zimbabwe. Arrive and check in to Shearwater Village, a comfortable base close to the town centre and the Falls. Spend the afternoon at leisure. You may wish to visit the Victoria Falls National Park, known locally as “The Smoke That Thunders,” or enjoy an optional activity such as a helicopter flight or sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Dinner and overnight at Shearwater Village.

Day 7: Departure from Victoria Falls
After breakfast, transfer to Victoria Falls Airport for your onward journey, taking home memories of Botswana’s wildlife and the mighty Victoria Falls.
